We are SO proud of our kids here at Patlan!
They have officially qualified for the Texas State Archery Tournament this year!!
That's a HUGE increase over last year's qualifying score.
We will see everyone in Belton, TX on March 29th. Our Flight time is 12:45.
Busses will depart Patlan at 8:30AM and we will be back in town around 4:45-5:00 pending traffic.
Parents are welcome to follow us up. There is a $3.00 spectator admission.
Well, we got together as a team and had 17 archers shoot in the St. Jude's NASP Virtual Tournament on December 17th and 18th, and I couldn't be happier with the results! NASP only scores the top 12 archers to calculate the team score, and we are ahead of where we were as a team last year for our State Qualifier at the end of January. The kids have really been working hard this year and the hard work is starting to show!
As a comparison, here our team score from the State Qualifier that we shot at the end of January LAST year.
We will have our standings from the St. Jude's tournament in January sometime, and I will post those standings as soon as they are available.
We ill also be shooting our State Qualifier Tournament here at Patlan the last week of January.
We will be competing in the St. Jude's Tournaments again this year, as well as the Texas State Qualifier. These are all virtual tournaments, which means that we shoot here at Patlan, and then simply enter the scores.
We are hoping to travel to either Austin or San Antonio in December for an out of town NASP tournament, so please stay tuned for more information.
Should we qualify as a team in January, we will be traveling to Belton, TX towards the end of March for the Texas State Archery Tournament.
We are so proud of our two archers who advanced to the state tournament. They both shot their career best at the tournament and both beat their qualifying scores by a large margin. The tournament was an eye opening experience and we all had a great time attending and participating. We are definitely looking forward to next year!
In February, we had 11 students shoot in the St. Jude's Tournament. We needed 12 to qualify as a team, so our student archers competed as individuals.
The results are below:
This was our very first year to shoot in the state qualifier tournament. We missed qualifying as a team this year, however; we did have two individuals qualify based on their overall scores. We are very excited that Eddie Barrera and Abren Ham will be representing Patlan Elementary and Seguin ISD in the Texas State Archery Tournament on Thursday, March 22 at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton TX.
